Sadly (for me) today is Nov 15, Michigan's state holiday DEER SEASON, opening day... I sit, instead of a deer blind in tune with nature, in my little cubicle at work. Even though I no longer deer hunt, it's still an exciting time. I still love to go and sit in the woods watching nature, whether I'm by myself, hunting with a camera, or sitting in the deer blind with my mom or dad. This has always been one of my favorite times of the year. Borrowing some words from my sister, hopefully you'll see why I love this time of year.
Woodpeckers. Nature's percussionists.
Red squirrels are louder than deer.
Isn't it too cold for bugs? Guess not... They're still buzzing in my ear.
Blue jays... Love the splash of blue on the brown landscape.
Chickadees are awesome.
How on earth did I get busted? The wind is in the wrong direction....
Just watched a blue jay break a branch off a tree. Oops!
Palliated Woodpecker landed 10 yards away. I need to keep the camera handy.
Love the sunshine today! Clouds are creeping in thoughAt least I'm thankful and fortunate enough to have a job, that I won't complain to much, but it would be so nice to be able to see God's creation and enjoy the nature that He built for us!!! God Bless and to all my Michigan hunters, Stay Safe and Good Luck!!!
